New RAIN RFID CATTLE EAR TAG for Animal ID

For livestock industry, the introduction of low frequency (LF) RFID tags a few years ago has greatly improved the accuracy and speed of identifying individual animals. However, lf technology has limitations in reading range and signal conflict (that is, only one tag can be read at a time). Seiko RFID works closely with industry experts to further expand its comprehensive product portfolio through the newly developed ear tag (an innovative RAIN RFID product, which effectively overcomes the previous limitations).

Based on UHF technology, it can read multiple tags at the same time, which is faster and larger than the typical lf tag. Under normal conditions, the reading distance of the ear tag (tag applied to the ear, external antenna function) is about five meters / 15 feet. The extended read range and read speed greatly reduce the operational risk and improve the processing and data collection speed of the whole supply chain.
