The sport tag is the only passive GEN-2 UHF RFID tag designed from scratch for people. It reads vertically as well as horizontally up to a range of 8 metres directly off the skin. This makes it ideal for tagging people in any situation where a robust multi-use UHF tag is required.

It can be used to track people in all sorts of situations and is predominately used in sports timing for tracking athletes across races such as triathlon, obstacle/mud runs, XC running, MTB, Open Water swimming, skiing and skating. It's also ideal for use in closed environments such as hospitals and heavy industry.
